Overview
As Maven expanded into the direct-to-consumer market, they launched a new subscription service combining GLP-1 weight management and hormone therapy, giving members personalised, ongoing support for metabolic and hormone health through virtual consultations and tailored treatment plans.
Challenge
The challenge was to evolve Maven’s existing enterprise platform into a consumer-first digital experience. The new product needed to enable prospective customers to determine their eligibility for treatment, complete a seamless onboarding journey, subscribe to the appropriate programme, and manage their membership through an intuitive self-service account.
Designing for a direct-to-consumer audience also required a significant shift in thinking—creating a product that built trust, clearly communicated complex clinical information, reduced friction throughout the sign-up journey, and delivered a premium experience that reflected the sensitivity of women’s health.
My Role
As Senior Product Designer, I worked closely with product managers, clinicians and engineers to shape the end-to-end customer experience. From discovery through to delivery, I helped define user journeys, create intuitive interaction patterns, prototype new concepts, and validate designs through rapid iteration. Working within Maven’s design system, I ensured the experience was scalable, accessible and ready for implementation across web and mobile.
